I am so sick of getting treated like crap by people I’m giving money to! It seems like these people hate their jobs and do the absolute minimum to “help” you out. Whether it’s at Target, the grocery store, or a clothing store I’m constantly being "helped" by uncaring people with the personality of a doorknob. Gone are the days of people asking if they can help you find something or thanking you for coming in or for your purchase. So many times I’m the one saying “thank you” when checking out and getting a blank stare back. It’s so annoying. You would think with the economy being so poor and with unemployment being high that these people would try that much harder to keep their jobs and be nice.

I also get very annoyed at the lack of care and customer service these days!

I get it a lot too, but I have notice that when you do shop at better markets, classier shops, boutiques & pricier retail shops you do get better service. Unfortunately, I cannot shop at those shops very often, but when I do I feel great & I always want to go back. I think all stores need to teach better customer service skills and do some training. Most shops hardly have people that care to speak to you nicely let alone help you look for an item. Target definitely employs lots of young, careless & lazy individuals.
Phone customer service is the worst for me. People are so rude & many times don't even know what they are doing. I also want to speak to someone who can clearly speak English. I don't want my call routed to India where we are both going to be struggling to understand each other. |
